Let’s Get Started with the Required Documents!

Before you apply for a new driving license or add a new category, make sure you have all the required documents prepared. These generally include:

  • Citizenship Certificate (Original & Copy)
  • Medical Certificate (if required)
  • Application Form (downloaded via the DOTM portal)

Please note that a Rs 10 sticker must be attached to the printed registration form.

Get Ready for Biometric Scanning

Before proceeding with your biometric data collection, make sure you are prepared. Here are a few important things to keep in mind:

  • Clean Hands: Ensure your hands are clean for clear biometric scanning. Wash off dirt or sweat.
  • Digital Signature: You will be required to provide a digital signature during the process.
  • Passport Photo: A passport-size photo will be taken, so ensure you look clean and tidy.
Medical Test for License Eligibility

Several factors will be examined to ensure you meet the health requirements for a driving license. Here's what will be checked:

  • Blood Group: Provide your blood group card or undergo a test.
  • Eye Sight: A vision test will be conducted.
  • Colorblindness: A colorblindness test will be done. You can test your colorblindness here .

The medical fee may vary depending on the medical professional at different offices.

Time to Make Your Payment

After completing the biometric and medical tests, the next step is to pay the Rs. 500 fee for the written exam. Upon payment, you will receive a payment voucher along with your exam admit card.

Your written exam is typically scheduled for the day after your payment, but it’s best to stay updated by checking the official DOTM notice or any related Facebook page operated by that office for confirmation.
