Trial Exam for Driving License

The trial exam is the final stage of the driving license process, where applicants must demonstrate their driving skills in a controlled environment. The test includes essential maneuvers such as driving through an 8-path, slope control, plank ride, bump road ride, lane discipline. For four-wheelers, additional tasks like reversing and parking are included.

Examiners assess your ability to control the vehicle, follow traffic rules, and handle road conditions.It’s important to arrive on time, bring necessary documents, and stay calm during the test. To improve your chances of passing, practice the trial route beforehand, focus on smooth movements, and follow the examiner’s instructions carefully. Before visiting the driving trial center, ensure you have all the required documents, which typically include:

Steps After Trial Exam Fail!

If you fail the trial driving, you have the chance to retake it up to three times within 90 days of your first failed attempt. No new application for the theoretical exam is necessary. To register for the retrial, simply visit the office, pay the retrial fee (Rs 500), and get your admission card.

Final Steps After Trial Exam Success!

Once you pass the trial examination, you will be informed by the center director and the traffic representative to pay the license fee. After making the online payment, you will receive a voucher. Your details will be sent to the Department of Transport Management for smart card printing. Once you receive an SMS confirming the print, you can personally visit the office to collect your card.

The revenue payment must be completed within 12 months after passing the trial exam.
